⚙️ More accurate discounts across installment and split orders
👉 Cart discount codes carry through to installment payments
A discount code applied in the cart is now kept on the first installment payment. Previously it could be dropped, and the first payment was charged at the undiscounted price. If Apply discount to all orders is on, the code now discounts the whole plan.
👉 Discounts reach every payment and the final order
Discounts from the first payment now apply correctly to the remaining installment payments and to the final combined order. They show under the discount's own name, so you and the customer can see them. Shipping discounts are kept on the final order too.
If you use a fixed-amount discount code, note that it applies to each payment by design. It used to fail silently on later payments, so the total discount may now look larger. Turn off Apply discount to all orders to keep it on the first payment only.
👉 Split and shared final orders match what was paid
The final order of a split or shared payment is no longer created at full price. It now reflects the cart discount the customer actually paid.
👉 Invoices stay in your order's currency
Invoices are no longer created in the customer's local currency, which could collect less than the amount owed. They're now always in the currency of the original order.
👉 Full-payment and partial-payment discounts keep working
On some stores, for example after reinstalling the app, these discounts could silently stop applying at checkout even though they showed as enabled. This is fixed, and stores that were affected have been repaired.
👉 Your discount title on every installment invoice
Installment invoices for the second and later payments now use your Discount title, instead of a fixed English label.
⚙️ Deposits
👉 Quantities are kept when a deposit is added
Adding or removing a deposit no longer resets cart items with a quantity above 1 back to a single item.
👉 Deposit settings always save
A deposit option could end up in a state where every save failed. It now saves correctly.
👉 Deposits stay available on large catalogs
On stores with many products, updating a deposit's products could leave it silently applied to none of them. Changes are now applied safely, and a failed update no longer removes existing products.
👉 Deposits apply from every add-to-cart button
Themes with a second add-to-cart button, such as a sticky or mobile bar, now correctly add items with the deposit or installment option. Previously those items could reach checkout at full price.
⚙️ Storefront
👉 Express checkout buttons can't skip installments
While installment is selected, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, Google Pay and PayPal buttons are now hidden. Previously they could take shoppers straight to checkout at the full price. Deposits aren't affected, and their express buttons stay visible.
👉 The widget and Split button appear reliably
The payment widget and the Split button now appear as soon as the cart drawer opens, including on Dawn-style drawers. Before, shoppers sometimes had to change the cart first.
On a cart page opened while the cart was empty, the Split button now appears after the first item is added.
The Split pop-up now opens on top of Horizon's cart drawer instead of underneath it.
Checkout keeps working even when Shopify is briefly slow to respond.
⚙️ Admin
The Deadline field in the order editor now shows the saved date, and its calendar opens inside the window.
On small screens, the Orders page tabs, filters and buttons can now be scrolled and are no longer cut off.
The chat button no longer covers dialog buttons on phones.
After changing a color, Discard now works with a single click.
